Project Description

A State Government is in the process of augmenting the road infrastructure. As part of this programme, various roads including state highways have been identified for construction, upgradation, strengthening, operation and maintenance to cater to future traffic growth. The five Project roads having combined length of 232 kms form key corridors and are the main links between the growth centres. The Government is seeking to involve the private sector in construction, upgradation, strengthening, operation and maintenance of roads on Build, Operate Transfer (BOT) basis to increase the operational efficiency and to provide higher service levels to the users.

Services Provided

    • The team was involved in project development and transaction advisory comprising the following:
    • Traffic studies for the identified roads including traffic volume and OD surveys
    • Defining technical specifications and crust design
    • Preparation of DPR and preliminary EIA
    • Feasibility study based on toll policy
    • Project structuring
    • Preparation of transaction documents including Concession Agreements
    • Project marketing and bid-process management for the selection of concessionaires
