Project Description:

The project aimed at seeking private sector participation in improvement and revamping of existing water supply transmission and distribution network under the command area 180 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to ensure enhanced service standards, improved water quality, better revenue collection and extension of water supply in unserved areas. The private sector’s scope of work involved rehabilitation of the WTP, upgradation and expansion of the service network to achieve 24×7 water supply, road restoration works, and O&M of the system for defined period.

Services Provided

    • The team was involved in project development process comprising the following activities:
    • Preparation of Base map of the Project area
    • Assets inventory
    • Analysis of design of water supply network using GFM
    • Preparation of District Metered Areas (DMAs)
    • Defining service levels and performance parameters including targeted reduction in non-revenue water (NRW)
    • Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) including study of financial sustainability of projects and tariff structure
    • Capacity Building of the Utility staff
    • Preparation of Concession Agreement and Tender Documents
    • Assistance in bid evaluation and selection of the private player
    • Project Management Consultancy during implementation period
