Project Description

A leading healthcare service providers in East Africa providing secondary and tertiary level healthcare has around 400 beds spread over 10 healthcare facilities in Kenya and Rwanda. With a view to expand its operations, it intended to induct equity investors at the corporate level and financing for a new 250-bed multi-specialty hospital project in Nairobi and outreach clinics.

Services Provided

The team was involved in facilitating financial close for the project by providing transaction advisory comprising the following:

    • Review of medical facilities, specialties, assets, cashflows and manpower etc.
    • Assistance in preparation of financial projections and other relevant information
    • Identification of potential equity investors, and discussions with Financial Institutions for fund syndication
    • Assistance in due-diligence by investors and lenders
    • Negotiations on the Term Sheet
