Project Description

Government of Mozambique (GoM) wishes to be well prepared to retain the momentum of incoming investments by putting in place the right policies, and social & economic infrastructure. In this context, GoM envisaged a 300 bed multi-specialty hospital, Pharmacy warehouse and Training and capacity building components viz. medical education, nursing training, etc in Maputo and diagnostic & telemedicine centres in four major cities of Mozambique on PPP basis.

Services Provided

The team was involved in project development and transaction advisory to the identified private developer for the following:

• • Healthcare market assessment for Maputo region
  • Clinic planning for the proposed hospital and clinics
  • Review of legal & regulatory framework for the proposed development
  • Site assessment and infrastructure development requirement
  • Conceptual architectural plans for the entire project including ancillary facilities
  • Business Plan and Project Financial Viability assessment
  • Preparation of Project Structuring Options
  • Identification of prospective healthcare service provider
  • Contract documentation
  • Debt structuring deal with the identified financier
