Project Description

A leading private sector developer is building a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Abuja, Nigeria, to provide world class healthcare services to Nigerians as an alternative to seeking such services abroad. The 120-bed hospital is almost completed. The developer is looking for potential investors to complete the entire project including civil work, ICT, supply & installation of medical equipment, furniture and a reputable hospital management operator for operation and management of the hospital on long term basis.

The team was involved in providing project development and transaction advisory services comprising the following:

    • Review of status of development of medical facilities, specialties, and assets
    • Due diligence covering financial and legal aspects
    • Market assessment and review of business plans
    • Assistance in preparation of financial projections and other relevant information
    • Identification of potential strategic investors, and discussions with Financial Institutions for fund syndication
    • Negotiating on the final terms for investing and financing
