Project Description

A state-level Renewable Energy Corporation intended to develop a solar park at available land parcel of about 2000 hectares in barren area. The solar park concept is similar to an economic zone dedicated to the generation of power through solar energy and also to the manufacturing of solar energy components. It was estimated that the park would be able to house solar projects having capacity of 980 MW.

Services Provided

    • The team was involved in developing the Detailed Project report for the project, comprising the following activities:
    • Review of incentive policy for the project and the regulatory framework governing its development and operations
    • Location analysis including geo-technical surveys, solar irradiation, weather data, and assessment of Annual Energy Yield
    • Layout design, infrastructure design (including road, water, etc.), electrical infrastructure design, control infrastructure design, common facilities
    • Environmental and social impact assessment, and mitigation measures
    • Preparation of detailed cost estimates
    • Project implementation and monitoring plan
