Project Description

With the growing demand of water due to rapid urbanization & industrialization the need of reusing treated wastewater for various purposes such as industrial, horticulture and agriculture, construction industries, institutions and in artificial recharge has been long felt. This Circular Economy approach not only leads to conservation of fresh water, but it provides an economic end-use of treated wastewater. The project involved adopting this approach for a 125 MLD exiting STP.

Services Provided

The team was involved in project development process comprising the following activities:

• • Existing situation assessment and baseline parameter establishment
  • Review of existing contractual agreements for the STP
  • Assets inventory
  • An assessment of the possible end users of the STP discharge with and without process modifications
  • Detailed technical and financial feasibility assessment
  • Finalization of transition plan from existing scenario to envisaged reuse plan
  • Preparation of Concession Agreement under PPP format
  • Assistance in selection of Concessionaire
